The stories are true. Bath IS beautiful.
Check out our spread of tickets! We arrive! Sam's house has a nicely painted electric blue garage door. His mom was so sweet she had baked a coffee cake and put a sign there. We sat around and looked through pictures of the UK and maps, Ying and the Flat Nemo. We had lovely spaghetti for dinner.
Onto the town! Gorgeous looking town. I love the bricks they use to build buildings in Bath. They distinguish Bath from other areas yet they unify every building in Bath.
Sadly, Ying did not sleep well on the first night because he was cold. We bundled him up later on, as you will see in the pictures. :D
When I visit cathedrals and abbeys, the architecture is so detailed and vast that I get overwhelmed by paying close attention to it that by 20 steps in, my brain and eyes are thoroughly exhausted. So, I can never take in the whole scene in one visit. I usually just collapse onto a pew and relax in the silence.
The Abbey shop had cool souvenirs. One of them really tickled me. There were various versions of post-its or notepads which had musical notes saying: Take a Note, and stuff like that. Hilarious.
Another view of the Abbey. Sam and Ying trying to impersonate John.
More of the town and a shirt with drums on it. Very cool.
The shops look so quaint.
We had some Cornish pasties which were brilliant. I LOVE them.
Walked up to this housing(now mostly offices) area called the Circus. Apparently the Becks and the Depp own houses here. The houses go in a circle. Apparently the houses cost around 5 million pounds. Very fascinating.
We walked over to the Royal Crescent. Very breathtaking arrangement. First thought when you see these layouts in person: INCEPTION! Again, imagine the houses forming a crescent.

Can't imagine? I have taken the liberty of finding some aerial shots online to give you more of the feel of the place. :)
Here: Royal Crescent and Circus- Inception, no?
Walked out to the town area again by cutting across a park. Saw a man trying to feed squirrels. After a squirrel grabbed some food, it sprinted away. It literally looked like it was flying. Back in town, we went into a novelty/souvenir shop which housed the most interesting one-of-a-kind things I've ever seen. Some interesting books pictured here. There were purses which were modeled after envelopes, scrabble mugs etc.
