Canberra Part 4

Canberra Day 7-11: 5-9 Degrees

Us

Had Kingsley for lunch(unique to Canberra). The chicken tasted so AMAZING, I have no words. Looking at it now is hitting me with hunger pangs. I'm famished. :(
Cooked spaghetti for dinner.

Took a night drive and stopped at Kokoblack for hot chocolate.
Tasted like a cup of heaven and like heaven, 2 cups would be a cup too much.
And there's Abby almost done in the oven :)

Sis made a lovely omelette for dinner. And of course, my favourite brinjal sauteed with pork. I've had it at least 3 times since I came back.
I fried 2 batches of prawn fritters. Still not as nice as mommy's!

Ying joined Alex in his work outing. They went Go-Karting at night in a semi indoor-outdoor circuit. Alex made a very cute comic of the adventure with his Macbook.

More home dinners: Ying made mouthwatering and succulent Hainanese Chicken to go with Mak Nyonya's Chicken Rice and Foo Chok soup.

We fixed two of sis' Ikea dinner chairs up for her. ;) proud we could figure out how to put nuts and bolts together.

We took a walk and looked at all the flags of the Commonwealth.

And we must not forget the momentous occasion of Alex being chased by huge black swans. He brought a big bag of bread with him and we were hunting down the swans to feed them. He found them floating at a shallow end of the lake near the sand leading up to the pavement. He went onto the boardwalk and started flapping a piece of bread at them. They swam after him and he retreated onto the pavement. Relentlessly, they kept coming forward. They stepped up onto the sand and pretty soon they were chasing him down the pavement! Ying caught it on tape but he was pretty freaked out himself haha! Needless to say, I was yards away by that time, yelling to the boys to hide the bread and flee.

Back in the deeper end, we could finally get on with the business of feeding them. All was well. :)
