It was a four and a half hour drive to Grants Pass where we would spend the night. On our way, we drove past quite a few snowcapped mountains. The view was fantastic.
We stopped for lunch near Mount Shasta and tried Taco Bell for the first time. We enjoyed it.
Some parts of the drive reminded us of the Scottish Highlands.
We arrived in Grants Pass just in time to catch the sunset. It was such a privilege to spend the night in this beautiful cabin overlooking the pine mountains.
This reminded us so much of Grindelwald.
The Airbnb hostess was the best hostess we had ever met. She had prepared so many things for her guests including a plate of snickerdoodles. There was a fully stocked fridge which included hard-boiled eggs and yogurt among many other things. She also prepared a jarful of baked goods like croissants and buns.
We wish we had stayed another night in this tranquil guesthouse. The bed was so comfortable. We were told not to panic if we hear sounds in the night or in the early hours because sometimes deer would come up to the bungalow.
The best part for us was the availability of a washer dryer along with detergent and fabric softener. We managed to do two loads of much-needed laundry while we watched a movie from the impressive DVD collection. The bathroom was very well-supplied as well with every imaginable product one would need including foot salts!
The very cosy sofa on which we enjoyed watching Hugo. There was a fireplace as well with giant candles in them.
An inspirational poster which had very good reminders.
We were so sad to leave the next day as we didn't expect to fall in love with this place so much.
The stunning view from the deck the next morning. We were on the lookout for deer.
On the road again.
Roadtrips in the US are so much fun especially with the spacious seats and cruise setting in the car. My husband was a happy camper.
