The foyer. The theme was Russian Christmas.
Pretty decos- nutcrackers...
Large Christmas trees everywhere.
More colours strewn all over the place.
Shiny cupcakes and a Faberge-style egg
We got to play dress-up.
The view of the grand lounge with a piano. Spot all the tiny Russian dolls.
The magnificent dining room. We learnt a thing or two about how they kept their wine cold back then.
Really exquisite deco and rich curtains
Some cute biscuits being sold in the gift shop.
The garden at the back of the house. So much land. The side view of the house is the most vivid image I have in my head of the Pride and Prejudice scene of Elizabeth seeing Mr. Darcy.
Some very queer statues with water flowing down.
Lovely view from the window of the surrounding estate. Looking out onto the estate makes me feel like I was living back in a period drama.
The house in all its glory.
Really beautiful autumnal scenery.
Love the rolling hills in the background.
More stuff from the gift shop- witty books
The bonfire(there was a fireworks party there as well later that night)
