Chatsworth House Part 1 (Pre-House)

http://www.chatsworth.org/ : We were there for the Russian Christmas.

If you look closely at the 1st picture, you can see the house. Yes, it sits in the middle of all the land. We stood outside all jolly and chatted about which of us are related to the Duchess of Devonshire. When we arrived, we took a walk down to the town first to see a church before coming back to the House. Wonderful weather that day. Climbed a mountain, forged a stream, followed a rainbowwww... and finally the church in sight. The bridge was very beautiful.

Walking past the church, we saw many beautiful houses and gardens.

One house had a table of jam outside. Ying then spent 5 minutes asking people what Damson was and then a further 5 minutes polling people on their choices between Damson or Mango. :D

It matches his shirt. Meant to be.

Another beautiful garden and lovely climbing plants framing the sides of a house. Ying comparing his hair to a tree.

On a beautiful sunny day, there were many sheep ................

......and two boys grazing.

The deer stared in horror.

Climbing the tiny 'mountain' with Tim-Burtonesque trees. Ultimate Tim tree below.

Can't help thinking about that song in Gosford Park: What a Duke should be...
