Beautiful Santorini Day 5- Part II: Ancient Greek Settling, Wine Museum and Pyrgos

Ying spotted a sign leading to an Ancient Greek Settling. We decided immediately that we needed to explore it. This is Ying's favourite place. He loves the narrow lanes which fit a single car at a time. It was such a calm and tranquil place.

These houses are so interesting

We came to this courtyard.

A quaint cafe tucked in the middle of the settlement, beside the courtyard with a cute car parked outside. We parked there and walked around.

So clean and quiet! Spot the church behind.

I Am Cat.

Love LOVE LOVE the lime green door!

Pretty bell tower-arch.

We headed to Pyrgos.

PYRGOS!

Spotted two very beautiful houses side-by-side. Look at the baby blue flower pots and the pretty red vines crawling up the coral walls. I adore how white and bright all the houses are there.

The plaza at Pyrgos

We drove down to the Wine Museum for a bit because the souvlaki place we were looking for in Pyrgos only opened for dinner.

The vineyard had this entire movie crew models.

Pretty, pretty vines

The bright-coloured loo!

Which was equipped with toilet-seat covers!!

Headed back to Pyrgos. Found out the souvlaki place was closed that day! :( Decided to explore Pyrgos instead.

I felt like Dorothy except that the stairs were my yellow brick road...

After a few flights and a few dark corners, walla!!!

Stood there for a couple of minutes in the windy silence and enjoyed the view.

The view.

These abandoned houses fascinate me to no end. Look at that door! Alice would have gone in there :)

How interesting it would be to be invited by someone living in that house. :)

Shadow shot. I'm a little teapot, short and stout!

We went back to Oia for another BBQ session since the first one was so irresistably tasty! We used the big BBQ with a chimney.

Different type of sausages and the steaks Ying brought with him. :)

We bought tomatoes on the way back. I MISS THOSE HUGE RED & SWEET TOMATOES!
